The renowned, Israeli artist Aya Ben Ron (*1967, Haifa) employs diverse practices like video, installation, drawing and sculpture. In an ongoing process Ben Ron examines the mechanisms of medical knowledge and health care. In doing so questions around the human conditions are as interesting for her as the daily routines in hospitals and clinics, the architecture or the commercial aspects of medical science. Aya Ben Ron, graduate of the Goldsmiths College at the University of London, has exihibited widely internationally and won many awards, latest the Disengoff Prize (2011).
