VIP Programme

schir – art concepts organised together with Fresh Paint contemporary art fair a journey for German curators to Israel in May 2010.

Fresh Paint was launched in Tel Aviv in 2008 and developed in a very short period of time into one of the central events in the Israeli art scene. In 2009, 36000 people visited the fair, including 4000 invited guests – business, cultural and social leaders, and art-world professionals. While following the formula of professional art fairs around the world with gallery presentations, Fresh Paint is unique in its role as a launch pad for the
careers of promising, unrepresented artists. The Artists’ Greenhouse, the Video lounge and other special projects showcase the works of independent artists, exposing them to curators, gallery owners, collectors and the public at large.

The VIP Programme combined the experience of Fresh Paint with visits to leading Israeli exhibition institutions (such as the Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art and the Haifa Museum of Art) as well as encounters with renown curators and artists.
