Fresh Paint 4, Tel Aviv

From April, 5th to April 9th, 2011, the fourth Fresh Paint – Contemporary Art Fair took place in Tel Aviv. schir was involved in this in several ways: First of all, there was the collaboration between Karen Irmer and Uriel Miron, initiated by schir, that was part of the fair as one of the few selected “Special Projects”.
Furthermore, schir brought Fresh Paint and the organizers of Berlin Art Fair “Preview” together in an open talk to exchange experiences of creating a new art fair.
Last but not least, there was an excellent curators program accompanying the art fair. Four days of visits to museums in Bat Yam, Ashdod, Holon and Tel Aviv, studios of great artists like Gabriella Klein, Lea Avital or Guy Avital and other exclusive events gave interesting and deep insights on the Israeli art scene. Among the 45 participants from all around the world schir invited about 15 curators from Germany.
